Returns & Exchanges
What is your return and exchange policy? What is the timeframe?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We offer a 90-day return and exchange policy from the date your order is delivered. If for any reason you are not happy with your item, you can return it for a full refund or exchange it for another item, provided it meets the return conditions
How do I initiate a return or exchange?
To initiate a return or exchange, please contact our customer service team within the 90-day return period. We will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and detailed instructions, including packaging guidelines and a pre-paid, insured return shipping label.
What items are NOT eligible for return or exchange?
To be eligible for return or exchange, items must be in their original, unworn condition with all original packaging and documentation. The following items are typically considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Items returned outside the 90-day return period.
- Items that show signs of wear, damage, or alteration (including resizing by a third-party jeweler).
- Custom-designed or special-order items.
- Engraved items
How long does it take to process a refund? How will I receive it?
Once we receive your returned item and verify its condition, refunds are typically processed within 14 business days. The refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.
Do I need to include the original packaging and diamond certificate with my return?
Yes, it is mandatory to return all the original packaging materials along with the jewellery piece. This includes the jewellery box, the pouches, and any other protective materials that came with it.
Shipping & Delivery
How much does shipping cost? Do you offer free shipping?
Ayka Jewels is pleased to offer complimentary shipping on all orders shipped within Canada. We strive to provide our customers with a seamless and convenient shopping experience, and free shipping is just one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Are shipments insured? Is a signature required upon delivery?
Yes, we take the safety of your purchase very seriously. That's why all shipments are fully insured against loss or damage that may occur during transit. This means you can have peace of mind knowing that you're protected in the unlikely event that something happens to your order while it's on its way to you.
Additionally, as an added security measure, we require an adult signature upon delivery for all orders. This helps to ensure that your valuable purchase reaches you safely and isn't left unattended or at risk of being stolen.
What shipping methods do you offer, and how long does delivery take?
We offer secure shipping via insured and reputable carriers to ensure the safety and timely arrival of your purchase. As our pieces are made to order, please allow 4-6 weeks from the date of order placement for your jewelry to be crafted and shipped. We will provide you with tracking information as soon as your order is dispatched, so you can stay updated on its progress.
Can I ship my order to an address different from my billing address? Can I ship to a pickup location?
Yes, you can ship to an address different from your billing address (e.g., your workplace or a gift recipient's address).
What happens if I am not available to sign for the delivery?
The carrier will typically make re-attempts to deliver the package. If they are unsuccessful after the final attempt, they may hold the package at a local facility for a short period for you to pick up, or it may be returned to us. We recommend shipping to an address where an adult will be available to sign during delivery hours
Do you ship internationally? Who is responsible for duties and taxes?
At this time, we exclusively offer shipping services to addresses within Canada. We are unable to accommodate international shipping requests or shipments to territories outside of Canada.
How can I track my order?
Upon the shipment of your order, you will be promptly notified via email. This shipping confirmation email will contain essential details to track your package, including a unique tracking number and a direct link to the carrier's website. By accessing this link and entering your tracking number, you can conveniently monitor the real-time status and location of your package as it makes its way to your doorstep.
Warranty, Resizing & Repairs
Do you offer a warranty on your jewellery? What does it cover and for how long?
Absolutely, we take immense pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Each piece comes with a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty at no additional cost to you. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship that were present when you received the item. It is our promise to you that your jewelry was crafted to the highest standards and with meticulous attention to detail.
What is NOT covered by the manufacturing warranty?
Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty is designed to cover defects in craftsmanship and materials. However, it's important to understand that it does not extend to issues that arise from normal wear and tear, accidents, loss, theft, or improper care. These exclusions are standard in the jewelry industry and ensure that the warranty remains sustainable for all our customers.
Examples of Exclusions:
- Prong Wear and Tear: Over time, the prongs that secure your stones can naturally wear down due to everyday activities. This can potentially lead to a stone becoming loose or falling out. This type of wear and tear is not covered by the warranty.
- Metal Discoloration: Exposure to chemicals commonly found in pools, hot tubs, cleaning agents, and even makeup can cause the metal of your jewelry to discolor. This is considered damage resulting from improper care and is not covered.
- Scratches and Dents: Daily wear and tear can inevitably lead to minor scratches and dents on your jewelry. These are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered by the warranty.
- Stone Loss: Stones can become loose and fall out due to accidental bumps, impacts, or even gradual wear and tear. This type of loss is not covered by the warranty.
Additional Considerations:
- Unauthorized Repairs: It's important to note that any service, repair, or alteration performed by a jeweler other than Ayka will void the warranty. We have a team of skilled professionals who are trained to work with our specific designs and materials.
- Jewelry Insurance: For comprehensive protection against loss, theft, and accidental damage, we strongly recommend obtaining separate jewelry insurance. This will provide you with peace of mind and financial protection in unforeseen circumstances.
Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty offers valuable protection against manufacturing defects, but it's essential to remember that it doesn't cover everything. By understanding the scope of the warranty and taking proper care of your jewelry, you can enjoy your Ayka pieces for years to come.
How do I make a warranty claim or request a repair? Is there a fee involved?
Warranty Claims and Non-Warranty Repairs
If you have concerns about the quality of your jewellery due to a manufacturing error or damage, please contact our customer service team. They will guide you through the process of returning your item for inspection.
- Warranty Claims:
Upon receipt of your jewellery, our skilled technicians will meticulously inspect it. If the inspection confirms the presence of a manufacturing defect, we will, at our discretion, either repair the item to its original state or replace it with a comparable piece. This service will be provided free of charge, and we will also cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced item back to you.
Non-Warranty Repairs:Damage that falls outside of our warranty (like everyday wear and tear, accidents, misuse, or changes made by others) will mean there's a cost to repair it. But don't worry, we'll always give you a quote first, and we won't start any work until you're happy with it and have paid in full. Also, for repairs that aren't covered by the warranty, you'll need to cover the shipping and handling costs.
Do you offer ring resizing? Is it free, and what is the timeframe? Are there limitations?
Yes, we understand getting the perfect fit is important. We offer one complimentary ring resizing within 90 days of your delivery date. This includes free insured shipping both ways for Canadian customers. Subsequent resizing or resizing outside the complimentary period is available for a fee.
Limitations: Please note that certain ring styles, particularly eternity bands (with diamonds all the way around) and some intricate designs or alternative metals, cannot be resized due to their construction. We will advise you if resizing is not possible for your specific ring.
Do you have a diamond upgrade policy?
While we don't have a specific diamond upgrade program, we're happy to discuss options like trade-ins or other suggestions with you. Contact customer service to explore possibilities for upgrading your diamond.
Do you offer cleaning and inspection services?
Unfortunately, we do not provide cleaning or inspection services for jewelry at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and recommend that you reach out to a professional jeweler in your area for assistance with these services.
Our Jewelry & Products
What metals are used in your jewellery? Are they hypoallergenic?
Our jewellery is crafted using high-quality precious metals. We primarily offer pieces in 14k White/Yellow/Rose Gold. Platinum is naturally hypoallergenic and an excellent choice for those with sensitive skin. While gold itself is hypoallergenic, alloys used to create white or rose gold can sometimes contain nickel, which may cause reactions in sensitive individuals.
Can I customize a piece of jewellery?
Yes, we specialize in creating custom jewellery! If you have a specific vision, contact our design consultants. We can work with you through consultations, sketches, and 3D renderings to bring your dream piece to life. Please note that custom orders typically have a longer production time and may have different return policies (e.g., final sale or store credit only).
Can I buy a loose lab diamond from you?
No. We currently offer our lab-grown diamonds expertly pre-set in our beautiful jewellery designs. We do not sell loose diamonds at this time.
Can I purchase just a setting? Can you set a diamond I already own into one of your settings?
We craft our settings specifically for the diamonds we sell to ensure structural integrity and quality. Therefore, we do not sell settings separately, nor do we set diamonds purchased elsewhere into our settings.
Do you offer engraving services?
Yes, we offer engraving on many of our rings and other jewellery items to add a personal touch. Please note that engraved items may have a modified return policy 31 or incur a fee if returned for resizing or refund. It's best to be certain of the ring size before engraving, as resizing can sometimes compromise the engraving.
How do I determine my correct ring size?
Finding the right ring size is important for a comfortable fit. We offer several resources to help:
Printable Ring Sizer: Download and print our accurate ring sizing guide from our website.
Visit a Local Jeweler: Most local jewellers can measure your ring size accurately.
Ordering & Payment
Do you offer financing options?
No, we currently do not offer financing options directly through our company. However, we understand that purchasing jewelry can be a significant investment, and we want to help make it as accessible as possible.
We are exploring partnerships with third-party financing providers to offer our customers flexible payment plans in the future. In the meantime, we recommend that you check with your credit card provider to see if they offer any promotional financing options that you may be eligible for.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax is required for orders shipped to states where we have a legal obligation to collect it. The applicable sales tax rate is determined by the shipping destination address and will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process before you confirm your order. For international orders, please see our Shipping & Delivery section regarding duties and taxes
Can I change or cancel my order after it's been placed?
Ayka values your satisfaction and understands that sometimes plans change. For your convenience, we offer a flexible cancellation policy. You have the freedom to cancel your order at any point from the moment you place it, up to 90 days following the date of delivery.

Jewellery Care
How should I clean my lab diamond jewellery at home?
Regular cleaning keeps your lab diamond jewellery sparkling! For routine home cleaning, you can use a simple solution of warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap (like Dawn). Gently scrub the jewellery with a soft-bristled toothbrush, paying attention to the areas around the diamond and setting where dirt can accumulate. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water and pat dry completely with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic cleaners unless you are certain they are safe for your specific jewellery setting and metal type.
How should I store my jewellery properly?
Proper storage protects your jewellery from scratches, tangles, and damage.
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch, lined jewellery box compartment, or its original box to prevent diamonds from scratching other jewellery (or each other). Diamond is extremely hard and can scratch other gemstones and metals.
- Keep jewellery away from extreme heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Ensure pieces are dry before storing them.
Should I remove my jewellery before certain activities?
Yes, it's highly recommended to remove your fine jewellery before engaging in activities that could expose it to damage or harsh conditions. This includes:
- Showering or Bathing: Soaps and lotions can build up residue, dulling the shine.
- Swimming: Chlorine in pools and saltwater in oceans can damage or discolor precious metals and potentially harm some gemstones. Cold water can also cause fingers to shrink, increasing the risk of rings slipping off.
- Exercising: Sweat can contribute to grime buildup, and there's a higher risk of impact damage during physical activity.
- Cleaning or Manual Labor: Household cleaners contain chemicals that can harm metals and gems. Activities like gardening or heavy lifting can lead to scratches, dents, or bent prongs. Following these care guidelines helps preserve the beauty of your jewellery and is important for maintaining warranty coverage, as damage from improper care is typically excluded.
Do you offer ring resizing? Is it free, and what is the timeframe? Are there limitations?
Yes, we understand getting the perfect fit is important. We offer one complimentary ring resizing within [Number] days/year of your purchase date.

About Lab Grown Diamonds
What exactly are lab-grown diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The only difference is that they are produced in laboratories using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond formation process, which takes billions of years, in just a few weeks or months. Lab-grown diamonds are not only more affordable than mined diamonds, but they are also ethical and sustainable.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds? How are they different from natural diamonds?
Yes, lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They share the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as mined diamonds, differing only in their origin. Lab-grown diamonds are not to be confused with diamond simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite.
Lab-grown diamonds are created using two main methods:
- High Pressure/High Temperature (HPHT), which replicates the conditions under which diamonds naturally form within the Earth. This process involves placing a small diamond seed in a carbon source, such as graphite, and subjecting it to intense pressure and heat, causing the carbon to crystallize around the seed and form a diamond.
- Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), which places a diamond seed in a vacuum chamber filled with carbon-rich gases. The gases are then heated, causing carbon atoms to break away and deposit onto the seed, growing the diamond layer by layer.
Are lab-grown diamonds an ethical and sustainable choice?
Lab-grown diamonds are an ethical and sustainable alternative to mined diamonds. They are created in controlled environments, eliminating any association with conflict or human rights abuses. Additionally, the lab-grown process avoids environmental disruptions such as land excavation and habitat destruction caused by mining. This focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability has significantly boosted the popularity of lab-grown diamonds, especially among environmentally and socially conscious consumers.
How do lab-grown diamonds compare in quality and durability to natural diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds exhibit the same range of quality as natural diamonds, evaluated by the 4Cs. Their quality depends on the specifics of the growth and cutting processes. In terms of durability, they are identical to natural diamonds. Diamond is the hardest known natural substance (ranking 10 on the Mohs hardness scale), making both lab-grown and natural diamonds exceptionally resistant to scratching and suitable for everyday wear. They are designed to last forever.
Are lab-grown diamonds certified? Do they come with grading reports?
Yes. At Ayka our lab-grown diamonds are graded and certified by independent gemological laboratories using the same standards applied to natural diamonds. These labs, such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the International Gemological Institute (IGI), and the Gem Certification and Assurance Lab (GCAL), issue reports detailing the diamond's characteristics based on the 4Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat weight. This certification provides objective quality assurance and allows for informed comparisons, aligning the assessment of lab diamonds with the established practices for natural diamonds.
Do lab-grown diamonds fade, cloud, or change color over time?
No. Because lab-grown diamonds have the same stable carbon structure as natural diamonds, they do not fade, cloud, or change color over time. Their brilliance and sparkle are enduring, just like their mined counterparts. Proper care will keep them looking beautiful for a lifetime and beyond.
Can you tell the difference between a lab-grown and a natural diamond?
Visually, it is virtually impossible for anyone, even a trained gemologist, to distinguish between a lab-grown and a natural diamond with the naked eye. Specialized gemological equipment is required to detect the subtle differences in growth patterns or trace elements that indicate a diamond's origin.
